Note: Wherever you see text enclosed in '<' and '>' you must substitute this with the appropriate details. E.g. Where you see <your domain> you must enter your domain name, for Perfect Hosting this would be 'perfecthosting.co.uk', however you should use your domain.

Firstly you must enter your ftp details into the address bar of SmartFTP:

1) The Address must be entered as ftp.<your domain>

2) The Login must be entered as per the details sent to you in the 'Account Open' email.

3) The Password must be entered as <your password>

4) Now click on Connect in the FTP menu. A new window should open showing your webspace. All your web pages should be stored in the 'httpdocs' folder, so click on 'httpdocs' (on the left hand panel) to open this folder.

You are now ready to upload your website. Files are transferred by simply dragging them from the 'Local Browser' window to the 'httpdocs' folder. Please note that your website must contain a default page, this should be called 'index.htm'.
